Emerald Bay @ Puteri Harbour, the 'Sentose Cove' in Iskandar Malaysia?
Nusajaya, Nov 2013 - Singapore's Sentosa Cove unveiled its first land parcels for sale in 2003. 10 years later, we are about to witness the same history to be made in Iskandar Malaysia with the launching of Emerald Bay @ Puteri Harbour in Johor in December 2013. The 111-acre Emerald Bay with GDV of RM2.4 billion is a JV development with 60% own by BRDB and 40% by UEM Sunrise. On 19th December 2007, Limitless LLC of Dubai, a unit of Dubai World, signed on to develop the prime waterfront property into canal homes at the Residential North precinct of Puteri Harbour in a joint venture with UEM Land. In 2010, BRDB signed on to take over the project and replaced Limitless LLC's stake in the JV project. The project is now owned and managed by Haute Property Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of BRDB Group. The luxury waterfront living freehold strata title development consists of Canal housing and waterfront villas and condominiums. The Phase 1A of Emerald Bay consists of 82 units of homes with 16 units of 3-storey Terrace Homes, 26 units of 4-storey Terrace Homes, 24 units of Semi-D and 16 units of Bungalow. Phase 1A is expected to be completed by August 2016. The selling price for 3-storey Terrace Homes start from RM3.1 million, 4-storey Terrace Homes start from RM4.2 million, Semi-Ds start from RM4.6 million and Bungalows start from RM7.3 million.
